ISLAND PARADISE

The Brand-New Don is a True Legend!

Hurricane Ian barely missed newly-renovated Don CeSar Hotel. It caused incalculable devastation to the coastal areas immediately southward, leaving St. Pete Beach – ranked by Trip Advisor as the 5th best beach in the world for 2021 – largely unscathed. “The Don,” was welcoming guests the very next day, offering them refuge, in keeping with its legendary history.

As we mourn the heavy losses from Ian  in other areas and applaud the heroes and emergency responders, we are grateful to be able to gather at the beautiful, historic Don CeSar as planned. And April 23 -26 is well before hurricane season, by design.

Dramatically perched atop wind-swept dunes with expansive water views in every direction, the fully-renovated Don CeSar is the crown jewel of Florida’s Gulf Coast. Since 1928, this monument to glamour and leisure has welcomed sun-seekers, luxury travelers, and some of America’s most famous and notorious figures. Become part of the storied history of the legendary Pink Palace®. Iconic. Romantic. Celebratory.

The Gulf Coast’s Beachfront Gem is Now Completely Revitalized

Reconnect with sun, sand and sea. Each one of our freshly remodeled 241 guest rooms and 36 suites offers luxurious amenities and sweeping views of the Don CeSar’s coastal surroundings. Bask in the Florida sun at the all-new Beacon Pool Bar & Lookout perched above our two heated outdoor pools. Experience breathtaking enhancements at The Lobby Bar and our fine-dining restaurant, Maritana. Transform in 11,000 square feet of seaside bliss at Spa Oceana, or play in our sugary St. Pete Beach backyard as the sparkling Gulf of Mexico is lapping at your feet. Discover the new Don for yourself.

Special Room Rate: From $239/night

He will give us an inside look at the main issues before the 117th Congress and the politics behind those issues. Can President Biden turn it around? Will we get back to any sense of normal? What, if anything, are Democrats able to pass? Do Republicans take back control of Congress and, if so, what will they do? What does the January 6th Select Committee come up with – and when? How do we get control on Immigration? Bill will give us an inside look at the fall elections and how they will affect control of Congress.

Is it a wolf in sheep’s clothing, nothing to worry about, or something in between? Don has been in the thick of things in Mississippi and will bring us up-to-date. In the meantime, you’d do well to thoroughly check your own state(s) for bills that affect PEOs!

PEOs, People, & Technology: A look ahead for the next three years

Presented by Scott Klososky – Co-Founder, Future Point of View (FPOV)

The digital evolution of the PEO industry stops for no one. The pandemic years have had an interesting influence on speeding up the adoption of new technologies and have changed the workforce forever. Many of these dynamics work in favor of PEOs and a few are potholes to avoid. This year, Scott will present a more thought-leading presentation that is geared to help PEO leaders make sound decisions on future technology investments. Lest you think this will be all about machine intelligence and new capabilities, know that the role that humans are playing in the digital transformation is becoming more integral. This means new topics like IT decentralization, centaur employees, and the impact of high-digital use on people will be discussed. Scott has been accurate at predicting what PEO leaders need to focus on in the future and this new content will be no different.

Dr. Rene Olvera, Chief Medical Officer & Psychiatrist;  Lauro Garza, VP of Operational Safety Risk Management; and Dora Snedeker, RN, BSN, QMHP, and Client’s Rights Officer

Mental health has become a huge component in the workplace, affecting overall wellness, productivity, absenteeism, liability, and creating challenges for employees, businesses, and PEOs alike. Are EAPs (Employee Assistance Programs) the answer? What is the PEO’s role?

The members of this panel are experts at dealing with both the physical and mental strain of COVID and experts on programs they have used and recommended for employers as we (hopefully) come to the endemic stage.

The Center for Health Care Services provides integrated care to improve the lives of children and adults with mental health conditions, substance use challenges, and intellectual or developmental disabilities.

The Digital Transformation Sped Up: Now What?

Presented by Scott Klososky – Co-Founder, Future Point of View

With light at the end of the tunnel that we went into in 2020, it is time to think more expansively about what happened in the market with technology tools and processes and what that will mean to PEOs. We know the distributed workforce will expand. We know organizations learned how to use online collaboration tools at a higher level. We all learned how to use self-service technologies to get what we once did in person.

All of this adds up to new opportunities for PEOs to provide value in the market. Scott Klososky spends most of his time looking ahead so as to help others make wise strategy decisions. Come along on the journey as he describes the opportunities for you to invest in now, if you are willing!

Planting the Seeds of Greatness

Presented by The Zig Ziglar Team: Matt Rush – Inspirational Speaker and Farm Boy

Since the beginning of time, everyone has understood the necessity of planting seeds in the hope of a harvest. However, have we ever considered planting seeds in ourselves in order to do more, be more and have more than we ever thought possible?

The reality is, if we are going to create a new future for ourselves and our businesses, we must begin by looking internally for opportunities to grow. We must evaluate who we surround
ourselves with and their impact on our success.

And finally, it is easy to look back on the past, it is comfortable to enjoy the present, but we must plan for the future by planting new seeds to carry us forward.

New Opportunity for Small Focus Groups

Presented by David Avakian – Owner/Principal, DVA Consulting | PACE Secretary/Past President

The beauty of small focus groups is getting real-world advice for your specific needs and challenges — discussing solutions and cutting-edge technology in the privacy of a small group of PEO owners, experts and peers. It’s that very-focused help you might get when you hang around to speak with a presenter after their presentation–but you get brilliant ideas from the whole group. At PACE, we’re friends before competitors. This will be a great way to help each other!

Lively PEO Panel Discussion: What’s Working — and WHAT NOW?

Presented by Bobby Sarver, Britt Landrum III, Corey Hookstra, and Jim Grimm, with Torben Madson as Moderator. – PEO Industry Leaders

Oh, the stories we’ll hear! Don’t miss this panel discussion — it will surely be one of the highlights of the conference. Ask these energetic PEO leaders and experts what they would do with your most challenging business obstacles, and hear about theirs. How are they getting good sales leads? What WFH hacks have they learned? What should be done about the gap in coverage issue in Florida? Come ready with your questions or, even better, submit your questions for the panel to Kim Egginton in advance for an even more thoughtful answer. Maybe you have some insight to share that will help the group, too!
